Most plumbing problems don't announce themselves loudly. Sometimes it's a hose bib that stopped working right, or pressure that just doesn't feel quite right. Other times, you pull back the wall and realize the real problem has been sitting there for years - old, brittle pipe that was never going to hold up much longer.
That's exactly what we were dealing with here. The existing piping behind the wall was outdated CPVC that had seen better days. The connections were rough, the layout was patched together, and it was only a matter of time before something gave out. These are the kinds of situations where a quick fix doesn't make sense. You do it right, or you end up back in the same spot in a year.
We opened up the wall, pulled out what wasn't working, and came in with fresh pipe and proper fittings. The new blue PEX running through the framing is a clean, reliable upgrade - PEX handles pressure well, doesn't corrode, and holds up far better over time than older plastic pipe materials. The outdoor spigot got a quality brass frost-free hose bib with a built-in vacuum breaker, properly set into the wall box so it's functional and protected.
This is what we mean when we talk about real solutions versus temporary fixes. It's not just about stopping a leak today. It's about making sure the plumbing behind your walls is something you don't have to worry about for a long time. Whether it's a single fixture upgrade or a larger pipe replacement, the approach is the same - honest assessment, solid materials, and work that holds.
If something in your home has been nagging at you - low pressure, a spigot that's acting up, pipes you know are getting old - it's worth getting a straight answer about what's actually going on. We're here to walk you through it without the runaround.
